What does everyone think about the war in iraqi?

Really, I want to see what people think about this. I think we shouldn't even be over there. When 9-11 happened, Saddam was over here eatting dinner with George Bush. If It was me, I would of arrested them right there. But no. Bush is friends with them. The government is trying to cover everything up, but it isn't working every well. They know where he is. They are just keeping our troops over there for no reason.

Honestly, I am not quite sure what to think. A part of me thinks we should pull out of there already. We were there for a reason, and I feel that we have unseated Saddam, and that we should pull out adn let thier country heal, and let the Iraqi's run thier country how thier culture deems it should be run, and stop trying to force them to run thier country the way America does. They have different cultural values and what works for us may nto work for them. At the same time, I think that President Bush is doing the best he can. I am not a fan of Bush, but I also can't imagine how hard it is to run a country and to please everyone, and to also particpate as a world power, and how hard it must be for him to se a suffering country and to not do anything to help. I don't think anyone ever gives him credit for the hard job he hs to perform everyday. I ahve talked to those who have served before adn they seem happy to be serving, adn to be there. They say that the Iraqi people wnat them there. So maybe its more complicated than any of us will ever know. But with the new presidential elections comming up the War may finlly come to an end as the new president takes over the oval office.

I am not sure this is the right forum for this but I can appreciate the fact the you care enough to ask about it.

I will say this, I am a Veteran. I have worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 14 years and have seen the faces of troops coming home. It is heartbreaking.

No matter what political stand anyone takes we must support our US troops. Freedom is not Free- if we did not have the military, past and present, fighting for our freedoms...we would not even have a place like this forum to discuss it.

To anyone reading this, please exercise your right and VOTE or WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMEN...do not blog about it. You can reallly make a difference.

Thats cool your an Veteran. My grandpa was an veteran. I have help out with veterans because after he passed away, I wanted to do something that he did.

I support our troops. My cousin is over seas right now, and I'm so worried that something is going to happen to him. It makes me sad that he had to go over there. He has to been there for 2 years til he can come home.

I know we aren't free.

Air Force cool. I've always found that the coolest armed-service. Probably because I used to want to be a pilot and went to air shows.
oh about the main question don't think we should have gone in the first place but may have a responsibility to stay now.

I agree with all you said because my dad is a Veteran and my best friend is in the Marines currently, but I think that right now we are fighting a pointless war right now and I wonder to myself is it enough to tear the world apart.

But I support the troops because I have quite a few people in my family that are veterans.
